Over 55 Skills at Work

Since 1986, Over 55 Skills at Work has connected London homeowners with pre-screened service providers aged 55 and over. The work runs from home repairs and seasonal maintenance to larger renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms and basement finishing, plus adaptations such as entry ramps and handrails that help seniors age in place. Housekeeping, companionship and yard care are also part of the service mix. Its providers carry commercial general liability insurance and present a police check before working, and quotes are free. The organization also runs programs that help adults 55 and over find work or start their own small businesses. 19 Google reviewers give it an average of 4.4 out of 5, with 15 at the top mark.
