Disclaimer

Company details here come from public business information and are for reference only. We do not check licences, registrations, insurance or WSIB coverage, and a listing is not a recommendation. Ontario has no provincial licence for renovating existing homes; the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) licenses builders and sellers of new homes, and some cities, such as Toronto and Mississauga, license renovators themselves. Electrical work done for pay needs a contractor licensed through the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), and gas work needs a TSSA-registered contractor. Before hiring, check with those bodies and your municipality, ask for a WSIB clearance, and put the agreement in writing.
